Conglomerate company Tencent has started testing its own cloud gaming platform and is letting users take the new game for a spin.
Tencent launched a website for the cloud gaming platform called “Start” and is inviting people in Shanghai and Guangdong, China to sign up for the test.
With very little instruction on the site, users will have to
login and/or scan a barcode of some sort to be booked in for an appointment
test.

reached out to Tencent for further information about its new product, to which
the company are yet to respond.
The video gaming industry was predicted to generate around $135bn
in 2018, a 10.9% increase from 2017.
Last month, the world witnessed Google
(NASDAQ: GOOGL) launch its online data centre-supported games service at
the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Fransciso.

It’s not just Tencent and Google that want a piece of the
pie, as other companies make arrangements to accommodate the surge in the
gaming industry.
World Poker Fund Holdings Inc. (OTC PINK:WPFH), a developer and operator of on-line technology and gaming platforms, secured a contract to build and oversee the development of a master data centre for all of the online gaming/casinos of the Castilblanco Luxury Casino & Resort Project in Spain.
The data centre will eventually house over 100 online casinos – accessible throughout the European Union.
Last year, Tencent revealed its plans to invest the equivalent of almost $440m in expanding its recently opened data centre in Chongqing, south-west China, in response to demand for its services and to enable it to compete better with Chinese rival Alibaba.
